The Big Draw Zutphen drawing festival

On Sunday 27 September, Zutphen’s historic town centre will be transformed into the most creative and delicious setting of the year. As the spectacular grand finale of The Big Draw Netherlands, the drawing festival is once again joining forces with the nationally renowned Zutphen Chocolate Festival. Under the theme ‘Make a Mark’, visitors will immerse themselves in a unique blend of drawing, performances and artisanal chocolate.

Creativity and connection are what The Big Draw and the Chocolate Festival have in common. Through ‘Make a Mark’, both festivals explore what happens when you actually leave a mark: on paper, in the streetscape, on the palette or in the public’s memory. On this festive Sunday, Zutphen’s town centre will be brimming with activities where watching, creating and tasting come together:

• Drawing Activities & Performances: Local and national artists showcase their talent through live drawings, street art, interactive installations and surprising crossovers.
• Workshops & Things to Do: Visitors of all ages are challenged to pick up a pencil, crayon or paintbrush and literally leave their own mark on the town.
• Art Meets Chocolate: In collaboration with local entrepreneurs and chocolatiers, a programme is being created that appeals to the senses, in which artistic forms and artisanal delicacies complement one another.
