Children’s workshop – Creating natural worlds with Awoiska van der Molen

Create your own world from a time before humans existed with artist Awoiska van der Molen.

What would the Earth look like if there were no people? What plants, animals, mountains, rivers and mysterious places would exist?

During this workshop, visual artist and photographer Awoiska van der Molen will draw inspiration, together with you, from the power and beauty of nature.
In her work, she explores landscapes in which silence, wonder and the experience of being in nature take centre stage.

Using small boxes, cut-out shapes and all sorts of materials, you’ll build your own natural world. Perhaps you’ll create a dense forest, an underground cave, a volcanic landscape or a place where extraordinary animals live.

Through play and creativity, we discover what the world might look like without people – and what stories lie hidden within it.

This workshop is for children aged 7 to 12, accompanied by a parent, grandparent or carer. The workshop takes place at the Waterkracht Community Centre, Zutphen.
