Zutphen Open-Air Cinema – Smoke

Dat Bolwerck & Luxor Theater present Zutphen Open-Air Film 2026. On two summer evenings, the garden of Dat Bolwerck will be transformed into an open-air cinema. We will be screening a film that ties in with the theme of the exhibition ‘The Musical Works of Awoiska van der Molen’.

In the film *Smoke*, Auggie Wren’s (Harvey Keitel) cigar shop serves as a meeting place for local residents to share their dreams, problems and fascinating life stories. Every day, Auggie takes a photograph of the crossroads in front of his shop, which allows novelist Paul (William Hurt) to see his wife one last time before she was murdered in the street.
