Phion Orchestra New Year’s Concert

New Year in the Far North is a unique experience. That is why we are sharing these New Year’s concerts to capture the magical atmosphere of the Scandinavian winter. Together with conductor Wilson Ng and the Finnish-Dutch Rebecca Roozeman – who won the Oskar Back Prize and the Audience Prize at the Dutch Violin Competition in January 2026 – it’s set to be a warm and festive occasion in the concert hall. The finest northern composers will be featured, including Svendsen, Nielsen and, of course, Grieg with his immortal *Peer Gynt*. And if you do find yourself missing the Viennese New Year a little, you’ll hear two waltzes by Sibelius that would make Strauss green with envy. Even ABBA fans will find something to their liking. Godt nytt år!
