Walking on the edge of woodland and farmland
Nowhere is the contrast between woodland and open countryside more beautiful than in the east of the country. Parts of the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel to the east of the River IJssel are characterised by centuries-old, small-scale cultural landscapes where woodland and open countryside alternate seamlessly. Rob Wolfs has brought together the most beautiful spots in this area and mapped out attractive walks through them. ‘Walking on the edge of woodland and farmland’ features 20 lovely (circular) walks, ranging from just under to just over 15 kilometres.
