Fred Delfgaauw

After decades of enchanting, moving and making theatre audiences in the Netherlands and Flanders laugh, Fred Delfgaauw is embarking on a farewell tour that honours his impressive career. Although he will never disappear from the stage entirely, this tour marks the end of nearly fifty years during which he has created new and unique productions.

Delfgaauw, an icon of Dutch theatre, invites the audience to a magnificent and intimate tribute to his own body of work. With the precision and passion that characterise his work, he brings together the highlights of his career in one unforgettable performance. What makes this interactive performance special is that the audience can choose for themselves which stories they want to experience. Well-known and much-loved characters such as ‘The Baby’, ‘Mrs Rouwbos’ and ‘The Lord of Below’ are brought back to life. But highlights from award-winning productions such as ‘Mozart’, ‘Paradijsvogels’ and ‘Wachtkamer van de Liefde’ will also embody the magic of the theatre.

What makes Delfgaauw so special is his unique ability to create maximum impact with minimal resources. His masterful balance of humour and depth offers a theatre experience that moves, inspires and makes you laugh.

For those who are not yet familiar with Fred Delfgaauw, this is a (final) chance to discover this true master storyteller. Loyal fans can once again be swept away by the magic of his work during this nostalgic and compelling journey through his creative universe.
