On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April, the historic garden on the Bleek opens its gates especially for visitors. This beautiful city garden, just outside the city walls, is in full bloom during this period with blossoming fruit trees and colourful spring flowers. You stroll among the greenery while enjoying art, music and other little surprises along the way. A rare chance to experience this special place in full spring glory!

On Saturday 19 April, you can literally step back in time during the Defence Heritage Weekend. Zutphen is opening two unique locations especially for this occasion: the medieval Berkelpoort and the imposing Kruittoren. Both are free to visit from 1pm to 5pm. In addition, a free walking route is available along the city wall, to be picked up at the VVV or at the monuments themselves. Discover how Zutphen defended itself against outside threats for centuries and experience these places up close.

This year you will celebrate Koningsdag in Zutphen and Warnsveld, of course, on Saturday 26 April the city will be festively coloured orange! In both the city centre and Warnsveld, you will find dress markets, music and activities for young and old. At the Groenmarkt, there will be a large stage with PianoBar XXL and various guest performances. a children's free market and plenty of fun. In Warnsveld, you can also experience the traditional bird shooting at the fire station. A festive day for young and old!

Sunday 27 April is shopping Sunday in town and the creative Laarstraat will be transformed into a colourful market full of handmade products, art, vintage and crafts. From jewellery to ceramics and illustrations to clothes - everything is unique and made with care.

From then on, you can visit the Burgerzaal, de Hanzeaat and the Wijnhuistoren from Thursday to Sunday, the Sint Janskerk will be open on Saturdays and you can also climb the Berkelpoort on every last Sunday of the month.
